Installation

At DJP Domestics, we offer installation services on a large number of appliances in the Clitheroe area and approximately a 20 mile radius between Monday and Saturday. After placing your order, we will get in contact with you to arrange a date that suits you and a time slot of AM or PM.

Where a connection service has been requested, please note that it is subject to compatible plumbing and electrical services, as appropriate, being available and the service may be cancelled if extreme difficulties are encountered. Neither we nor our Specialists are obliged to provide any alterations or additional equipment of any kind especially involving carpentry or specialist electrician or plumbing expertise.

Please note, we do not fit third party appliances due to legal reasons. We do not install Gas, LPG or Dual Fuel appliances.

Things to check before ordering installation:

1. Check that the existing door panel is suitable to be reused for the new appliance.

2. The appliance will fit into existing housing units.

3. There is sufficient access to existing pipe work or electrical connections.

4. Stop valves are operating correctly. (For the connection of a wet appliance.)

5. There is sufficient access for ventilation tubes. (Tumble Dryers)

What this service will not provide:

1. Make any alterations to plumbing or electrical connections.
(Including existing or adding new connections)

2. Connect the appliance if it poses a risk to either fitter or customer.

3. Connect the appliance if it does not meet safety guidelines.

4. Install cooker hoods.

5. Install gas appliances

6. Make alterations to any marble/tiled or corian worktops.

Measurements and Measuring Service

Please check your measurements before ordering a new appliance. Freestanding gas ovens and built-in gas hobs need a gap of 4cm clearance around the hobs. High-level gas ovens need 10cm clearance around the grill, with nothing above the grill.

A measuring service is available in the local area for £20.

Disposal

We do offer an old appliance removal service. Where this is required, details of the service and associated charges are documented within this site.

Failed Connections

If a connection fails because the customer did not inform of us with a reason that the appliance connection may not be successful or because the customer did not comply with the reasons stated above. We reserve the right to make a failed connection charge. This will apply on a per appliance basis.
