What is the Retracare Extended Warranty Package?
The Retracare extended warranty package is an extended warranty plan for Breakdown with an optional contract of insurance for Accidental Damage for your product.
The Retracare extended warranty package is suitable for consumers who wish to protect their purchased electrical products against the internal failure or burning out of any part of the product whilst in ordinary use arising from internal electronic, electrical or mechanical defects and, where the optional Accidental Damage insurance has been purchased, damage caused by sudden and unforeseen accidents.
What are the benefits and features of Retracare extended warranty package?
- It provides an extended warranty for breakdown of the product specified in your Certificate which happens in the home.
- If Accidental Damage is shown as Insured on your Schedule, it provides cover for accidental damage to the product specified in your Certificate which happens in the home
- Your product will either be repaired or replaced with a new like for like item up to the amount of the Cover Limit, depending on the extent of the damage caused. If the product cannot be replaced we will agree a cash settlement with you which will not be more than the Cover Limit shown on your Certificate
- There is no excess payable by you in the event of a claim against your Retracare extended warranty package.
Frequently Asked Questions
What does the Retracare Service Plan actually cover?
Repairs. All repair or replacement costs following mechanical or electrical breakdown due to faulty manufacture for the lifetime of your Retracare plan.
Are all Costs paid for?
Yes. Call out, labour, transportation and replacement parts (unless parts are covered by the manufacture in which case the manufacture carries out the service with no charge to the customer).
Who Caries out the repairs?
Usually your supplying retailer, but if the retailer is not equipped or trained on your particular product Retracare Services will appoint an alternative qualified expert.
What if the product cannot be repaired?
When the product is beyond economic repair Retracare will replace your product with a brand new comparative product if possible, from your original supplying retailer.
Are there any exclusions?
Yes. But kept to a minimum, e.g. cover does not include: tuning, batteries, misuse, required maintenance and the like. Please see terms and conditions. Your household insurance may include cover against fire, theft, flood and damaged food. To avoid duplication of cover, and ensure best value from your service plan, we do not cover against these household insurance risks.
Does this include accidental insurance?
Accidental insurance can be added on top of the Retracare warranty for a small fee at time of purchase in-store. If ordering on-line the prices shown are for the Silver rate (without accidental damage insurance). Once we receive your order we will contact you regarding your order for deliver and also ask if the Gold rate with accidental damage was require at this time.
